Straight Talk's New Android Phone is Out Now - Click Here!
The Nokia E71 is the newest smart phone to be added to the Straight Talk prepaid phone lineup. The company actually added two higher end phones this month to its website and a lot of people have been talking about them because prepaid phone companies don’t tend to have a lot of high quality phones available.
This phone works with the Straight Talk unlimited plan, which is a no contract prepaid plan that costs only $45 per month for unlimited text, internet, and voice. That’s right, you get to talk, text, and browse the web as much as you want to with this prepaid package. TracFone and Verizon have come together to create this affordable prepaid company.
Now that the Nokia E71 Straight Talk phone is available you have another good phone to choose from. This phone has a full qwerty keypad on its face. You can use IM or communicate with direct access to your email accounts.
It also comes equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera/video recorder, Bluetooth capabilities, 4 GB microSD card, Mobile Web Service, unlimited text nationwide, unlimited data, and unlimited 411 calls for free.
The email function is very easy to set up and paired with the sleek, slim, silver design, Straight Talk’s Nokia E71 is a professional looking phone that is just as good for business as it is for use on a daily basis.

Update: Straight Talk has updated the phones it is offering for free right now. It is no longer offering the t401g (the phone that this post was initially written about), but not to worry! There are three new phones being offered for free with purchase of one month of service. They are the LG 220c, LG 420G, and Motorola w418g flip phone.
See all of these new offers at StraightTalk.com and decide whether or not you want one of these phones.
They are lower end phones, but they make sense for a lot of people, specifically those who are not looking for an android phone or a smart phone. These phones are rather basic, but that is not a bad thing, especially if you are planning to use the $30 Straight Talk plan rather than the unlimited one.
Back to the Original Post…
You gotta love free stuff. I mean why wouldn’t you? But it does seem that getting something for free is becoming harder and harder. Straight Talk, however, has four free phones out right now. One of them is the Samsung t401g!
Another phone that’s currently free is the Motorola W418G free Straight Talk phone. You should also have a look at the deal on the Nokia 6790 by Straight Talk. Right now it’s only $99 for a brand new phone. For $49, you can get a reconditioned version of this phone.
All you have to do to get your free phone is head over to StraightTalk’s website, look at the phones that are marked “GET THIS PHONE FOR FREE” and select it. You then will be taken to the shopping cart, where you will notice that you need to select a plan on which to use your phone. Then you will notice that the phone is free. Make sure to see if the phone is reconditioned or not–not that it really matters one way or the other. But some people care about this.
Straight Talk has a couple of Android phones that might interest you but they are certainly not available for free–at least now. I like both of these phones. They are not the most amazing Android phones in the world, but they are certainly an improvement over most prepaid phones out there. More on these android phones here.

More on Straight Talk:
There are currently three phones you can get for free from Straight Talk. The W418G is the latest Straight Talk phone to be made available on the website for free. It’s a super basic clamshell phone that flips open. It almost reminds me of high school because this is the type of phone that was prevalent when I was in 12th grade.

There’s a certain nostalgia vibe to Motorla w418g that I actually really like for this phone. If you are looking for an extra phone or a phone for a kid or just to keep in your car for emergencies, this could be a good phone for you to choose. Let’s also remember the fact that it’s free right now. All you have to do is purchase the talk time to use on it.
The way you get the free Straight Talk phone is by purchasing one month of service at the time you select your phone. No matter what in order to use any phone from this company (or from any other phone company), you need to pay for service. That’s just how phones work. And in this case, you just happen to get a free phone as well. It’s a pretty good deal if you are the type of person who just loves saving money.
The LG 220C and LG 420G are both available for free as well online with the purchase of a one month unlimited or all you need prepaid plan. Learn more about these phones at Straight Talk’s website.

When I first wrote this post a week or so ago, Straight Talk’s first Android release, the Samsung Galaxy Precedent, was set at the price of $149. Now, the price of this phone has been slashed an additional $20, which means you can now get the Precedent for only $120. For a prepaid Android phone with an unlimited plan, this is a nice phone. See more at the official site.
New Straight Talk Android Phone
Speaking of Android phones, Straight Talk recently released its third Android handset, the LG Optimus Black, a nice phone that gives you access to all 250,000 Android Marketplace apps, in addition to a brilliantly colored touch screen, and a 5 megapixel camera. That’s the LG Black to the left there. What do you think? Nice looking phone right? Learn more.
Samsung Precedent Is Just That, The first Straight Talk Android
The Samsung Precedent really sticks out in my mind as a solid deal because it’s an Android phone with no contract that runs on a very good unlimited plan. I think Straight Talk has done well by putting this phone in its lineup. It’s the first Android phone for Straight Talk. If you’re still not sold on this phone, you have one more Android to choose from, the LG Optimus Q, Straight Talk’s second Android phone. More on the LG Optimus Q.
Optimus Q Costs a Little More But Packs a Punch
The Optimus Q phone is a little bit more expensive at $179.99, but is well worth it because it runs on Android 2.3, has a 3.2 inch touch screen and a sliding qwerty keypad, and a 3 megapixel camera. Overall, this phone is really nice. If you don’t like this phone, perhaps the Nokia E5 will excite you. Read about this phone here.

Straight Talk’s Latest Smart Phone
There is a new prepaid phone available now. It’s the Straight Talk Nokia E5, a smart phone that falls in line with the Nokia E71 and Nokia 6790 to be ST’s third smart phone. You can see all three phones online at StraightTalk.com.
One thing that you should know about the Nokia E5 is that unlike the other two ST smart phones, you can use this phone with either of the two plans, the unlimited or the basic. The other two only work with the unlimited plan, which to be honest is probably the plan you’re going to want to use with one of these three phones anyways. Since it supplies you with unlimited talk, text, and web, you’re going to probably select this plan anyways–otherwise, why have a smart phone that can do all the cool things it does and then limit it?
Here are the features of Straight Talk’s Nokia E5:
- Full QWERTY Keyboard
- Mobile Web Services
- Real-Time Push Email Multiple Accounts
- IM Instant Messaging
- Free Voice-guided Navigation
- 5.0 Megapixel Camera and Video Recorder
- Music Player
- Bluetooth® Wireless Technology
- Service Plan is required to complete purchase

Straight Talk New Android Smart Phone
Straight Talk also just released its first Android phone. Read a review of the Samsung Precedent Android 2.2 phone here.
Is the Nokia 6790 the smart phone that Straight Talk customers have been looking for all this time? That’s a good question, but the answer is inevitably going to be “no.” There is just no way to really compare the Nokia 6790 to the iPhone in its current incarnation. The first difference is in the user experience of the phone. The iPhone is a much simpler, single button phone with a touch screen, while the Nokia 6790 does not have a touch screen and is a slider-phone that slides open to reveal a full interior keypad. Another crucial difference comes in the fact that the 6790 is a prepaid phone.
Clearly, the phones are quite different, but the real question is does the Nokia 6790 have enough style and substance to excite future Straight Talk customers?
The Details of the Phone
The Nokia 6790 has a 2-megapixel camera (which is pretty standard these days), a decent sized screen, a a 4gb microsd card, free voice-guide navigation, mobile web services, and bluetooth wireless technology in addition to other nice little things the phone does. One of the big features that you just can’t escape in this phone is the slide-out keyboard. If you are going to buy the Straight Talk Nokia 6790, it’s essential that you want a slide out keyboard, otherwise you might prefer the Nokia E71, a more Blackberry-esque phone that doesn’t slide open.
Unlimited Plan
This phone has some good things about it, the chief of which is that it is a prepaid smart phone that won’t break the bank. It comes with an Unlimited plan that will give you limitless talk time, web browsing, and text messaging.

Best Straight Talk Prepaid Phones
Straight Talk Phone Update: There is a brand new phone out that might spark your interest. It’s the first Android phone from Straight Talk and it’s called the Samsung Galaxy Precedent. It has a gorgeous touch screen, it downloads apps from the Android Marketplace, and it does a whole lot more. Read a review of Straight Talk’s first Android phone. Please also read about the Nokia E7, one of Straight Talk’s top performing smart phones below.
Prepaid cell phones are pretty big right now. In the words of Ron Burgundy, prepaid phones are “kind of a big deal.” And it’s true–there are some seriously good phone deals going on out there in the prepaid world. If I were Verizon, I’d be a little bit scared right now because more and more people are choosing prepaid phones and fewer and fewer are choosing contract plans. But I guess that’s why Verizon now has its own unlimited prepaid plan and has also teamed up (sort of) with Straight Talk Wireless, the popular prepaid phone company.
Straight Talk is a little different than some of the other companies out there because it has two smart phones on its roster, which is an awesome thing for people who want a cell phone that can do the more “modern” things other than just talk and text0 (not that there’s anything wrong with talking and texting). It’s just nice to have options. The Straight Talk Nokia E71 gives you these kinds of options. With the Nokia E71, you can email, text, call, and browse the web unlimited. And it only costs $45 per month for this Unlimited plan. This plan is $5 cheaper than the similar plans offered by Verizon (Unleashed), Net10 (this plan is $50), and Boost Mobile (again, $50), which makes it a better deal.
The Nokia E71 is a 3G phone with a full qwerty keypad, instant messaging, multiple email accounts, free voice guided navigation, a 3.2 megapixel camera, a 4 GB microSD card included, a music player, and Bluetooth (which makes it easy and safer to talk while you drive).

Nokia E71 is a popular Straight Talk option. Another one is the Nokia 6790, which is another smart phone that slides. They call it a messaging phone because it facilitates easy messaging with the pull out keypad. It also has a nice look to it that younger customers will probably gravitate to. The Samsung t528G phone (pictured below) is another solid option for a prepaid phone. You can find it online at StraightTalk.com.
If you’re looking for a prepaid cell phone, Straight Talk has three new ones you might be interested in checking out since they all work with the Unlimited $45 plan that’s been getting a lot of hype lately. For that price, you get unlimited talk, text, and web browsing–so it’s a pretty good deal for people who use their phones a lot.
The new Straight Talk phones are the Samsung t528G, the Nokia E71, and the Nokia 6790. The 6790 and E71 are smart phones, which means that they can do email and are good for web browsing. All three are worth looking at.
