Straight Talk's New Android Phone is Out Now - Click Here!

lg optimus android cell phone onlineThe latest release to the Straight Talk smartphone line up is the LG Optimus Black. This Android phone was released right at a time when a lot of people were thinking the LG Optimus 2X was going to be released. This phone is a pretty good substitute for that phone, boasting a better touch screen, a very nice camera (5 megapixel) that also records video. There is actually a second camera as well that faces the other way so you can video chat or take pictures of yourself (if that’s your thing). Along with being able to download apps from the Android Marketplace (since it is an Android phone), Optimus Black has five home screens you can toggle through like on an iPhone, email access, and of course web browsing.

straight talk android lg qLG Optimus Q is another Straight Talk Android option.  It has a slide-out keypad, which is the primary difference between it and another phone available right now, the LG Optimus Net.  “Q” has a nice screen, a great keypad if you’re a text-heavy user or just like to browse the web using a keypad.  You can also opt to use the touchscreen if you prefer, so you have both options.  Like the other Android phones, Q runs on the unlimited plan.

Samsung T528g straight talk phoneThe Samsung t528G is available for a great price at the official ST website.

Straight Talk has four smart phones in total available in its lineup. Two of them are present for a while now, Nokia E71 and 6970 and are proven to be good, feature rich smart phones. However, recently, two new Straight Talk no-contract smart phones are added, one of them touchscreen Samsung t528 (depicted above) and the second is one of the most advanced phone that Straight Talk offers, Nokia E5 (which you see below).  Click the image to see price and availability in your area.

Nokia E5 Straight Talk

Both of these two new phones are good additions. Straight Talk had no 3g touchscreen phone in is lineup since Samsung Finesse so users were keen to get access to one until the release of the LG Optimus Black Android phone. While Optimus Black is the best phone available from Straight Talk, the Samsung t528 remains an answer to those needs and seems to justify users’ expectations. It is 3g but also WiFi capable. The end result of these two features is access to faster Internet, which is great considering that this touch screen phone is available with unlimited Straight Talk plan for $45 with unlimited talk, text and data. However, if you are not one of those who need internet too much, you have the choice of saving even more due to possibility of choosing $30 plan as well.

That is not the case with the Nokia E5. This smart phone is available only with unlimited plan but considering that it is one of the more advanced smart phones that supports fast 3g speeds and WiFi connectivity, it is expected that users who want to explore its features to the fullest are the ones to purchase it. So it’s a logical choice.

These two new Straight Talk no-contract smart phones are actually not to be compared to each other. The price first shows the rank of these two phones alone. The Samsung t528 is available for $99.99 and the Nokia E5 for $199.99. This is an indicator of how much freedom and how much quality features you are entitled to. Both are email and IM capable, both have access to social networking sites, but when it comes to web browsing or streaming videos, the difference becomes more significant. With Nokia E5 there is no problem with watching videos on YouTube, while with Samsung t528 you can do it only if you are connected to WiFi.

One other obvious difference is in the quality of cameras that these two new Straight Talk no-contract smart phones possess. The Samsung t528 has a 2.0 mega-pixel camera while Nokia E5 enables you to take high quality pictures and videos with 5.0 mega-pixel camera. In addition, all pictures taken or videos recorded by Nokia E5, you can upload to social networking sites straight from your phone, while with both phones you can store it on phones memory, which can be expanded up to 32 GB.

The difference is clear and users know what smartphone to pick, according to their everyday needs.

Straight Talk Samsung t528 touchscreen phone is like a dream come true for very patient Straight Talk users. There has been no touch screen phone available for them since Samsung Finesse, and that was long time ago. So now, they can finally relax. The phone is available for $99.99, which is a great price for no contract obligations and for the features and functionality that goes with it. Being available with both prepaid plans from Straight Talk is just a pure bonus. It means that you can save even more by choosing $30 All you need plan, considering that the rest of the smartphones available at Straight Talk are required to go with Unlimited $45 plan.

The Samsung t528 is a lightweight handset that weights 3.24 ounces and is 4.3″ high, 2.0″ wide and 0.5″ deep, which feels very comfortable in the hand. It has a 3.0” touch screen with sharp and colorful display. The phone runs on Samsung’s operating system with TouchWiz UI 2.0. This user interface is very easy to use, not confusing at all and is app and widget friendly. What’s more, it supports three scrollable workspaces and multi- tasking. A virtual QWERTY keyboard is also pleasure to use since the virtual buttons are big enough and can be used in both landscape and portrait mode.

The Samsung T528G, besides being a touchscreen phone, is also promoted as a 3g phone that is WiFi capable. WiFi capability has a big role with this device since some apps as YouTube work only if you are connected to WiFi.

Another thing that this phone grant access to is add-on applications ability. This feature means a lot, if you consider that you can find an application, download it and install it on your touch screen phone to improve its functionality, as you need it to be. So in case that you, for example, do not like the existing virtual keyboard, which is hard to believe since it is very handy, you can download Swipe, if you are into that kind of typing your messages. That is only one example of what you can do to improve abilities of your phone to your likings, only the sky is a limit.

Straight Talk Samsung t528 touchscreen phone comes with preloaded apps for email and IM clients, apps for social networking sites as Myspace, Facebook and Twitter, Samsung App, music player, voice recognition, app for recording audio, web browser and more. In addition, Stereo Bluetooth, a 2.0 mega-pixel camera and microSD card slot for adding up to 32GB of memory is available with Samsung t528 touchscreen phone.

Considering all the features, functionality and prepaid plans from Straight Talk, this phone comes as a good deal for the price.

Another phone that’s been on my radar is Nokia E71 ($99 3G phone).  It’s a pretty nice handset that complements Straight Talk’s service quite well.  Overall, it’s probably one of my favorite two or three ST phones on the market right now.  If you buy it at the website, it costs $99 and will operate with the unlimited prepaid plan that has a monthly fee of $45 for unlimited phone service.  This includes sending all the text messages you can send, all the talk time you feel like using, and even includes web browsing for unlimited amounts of data (of course, if there is some kind of abuse of data use, the account can be canceled).  See more details on this phone here: StraightTalk.com
