This is the third Android phone that has been paired with Straight Talk’s prepaid plans, and it’s the best one that’s been released up until now. It’s a very nice mid level Android phone, so if you’ve been waiting for the LG Optimus 2X to be released, this may be the closest you will find to a replacement. New Prepaid Phones: No Longer Ugly
Prepaid phones used to be boring, ugly, and definitely not cool. This is how things used to be in the prepaid side of the cellular phone industry. This was until people started demanding better phones to use on their terms without a contract. The Straight Talk smart phone the Nokia E5 is a hot new phone that can be used with either of the two Straight Talk plans. The more famous plan is the unlimited plan, but there is also a basic plan that costs a little bit less per month. One of the biggest things that sets this phone apart from the other smart phones from Straight Talk is that it has a 5 megapixel camera and video recorder. This is a great thing for all those people who want to capture moments from their day as they go. I love using my camera in the store to take pictures of things I want in the future but don’t necessarily want at this time. I use my cell phone camera at borders all the time to remember books I want to read sometime down the line. It’s almost a necessity that I have a camera on my cell phone and I know a lot of people feel the same way.

The Nokia E5 smart phone is 3g and wifi ready. It has a music player, free voice guided navigation, bluetooth, instant messaging capabilities, mobile web services, web browsing, and email management. If you are searching for a new prepaid phone, this handset is an option for you. It comes with no contract, it’s a smart phone, and it’s reasonably priced. Sure, there’s a ton of competition out there, but this is a good one to at least consider and put on your short list.
Straight Talk Current Deals
There are a couple of deals you may be interested to know about that are going on at Straight Talk’s website. The first one involves the rather popular Nokia E71 3G phone that runs with the TracFone Straight Talk unlimited plan, which costs $45 per month. The phone is available for only $99, which is quite a mark down from its former price of $149. The Nokia 6790 is the second deal currently running from ST. You can get a reconditioned phone (which means “used”) for only $49. That’s a pretty solid deal on a phone that will definitely be in good shape even though its been used before.
There are also two free phones available right now. Even though they are from the lower end on the quality spectrum, these phones are free, and that just has a magical ring to it. If you need a secondary phone for emergencies, for travel, or for a child, this might be a solid option that will save you some cash.
